One of our Indonesian engineers has been accepted to participate in the Blue Bird circular migration programme to be technically trained in the Netherlands.
Within a maximum of two years he will extend his knowledge and expertise in the field of structural design by actively participating in the challenging interdisciplinary projects at Witteveen+Bos' head office in the Netherlands. The training will also entail enhancement of project management skills. After returning to Witteveen+Bos Indonesia, other engineers can be coached in developing the same technical skills as acquired in the Netherlands.
The Blue Bird programme is a programme set up by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands to investigate the costs and benefits of a circular migration scheme in terms of development co-operation between the Netherlands and Indonesia. It gives way for Witteveen+Bos to invest more thoroughly in leading up Indonesian engineers in the standards and expertise maintained by Witteveen+Bos in the Netherlands.
